Lots of people use AVG in tandem with other antivirus tools. They do a very good job with malware protection, but it struggles with some viruses. It doesn’t mean it will be a simple thing to do, but it can definitely be adapted and adjusted to your own needs if you want.

Trojans and rootkits are a bit problematic for the AVG solution, but for the most part we found the app to be very dependable and reliable. Sure, it’s not the simplest thing that you can use out there, and the warnings are a bit generic. But for the most part the value is extremely good and that’s a crucial aspect to focus on no matter what happens. People know that this type of thing is super demanding, and in the end that will help quite a lot.

Most antivirus solutions have browser extensions for better protection. This one doesn’t offer something like this, which is a bit sad. But you do receive plenty of quality and value in the end, and that’s one of the better aspects behind all of it. You will also fail to see some of the notifications at times.

However, AVG is very comprehensive and it tells you exactly what you have to do and how you can approach the problem. It’s one of the best things about this, because you can easily search for the threat online and see what it does. In the meantime you will be fully protected against it.

Is it worth it?

AVG is very resource-hungry, and that puts a lot of people off when it comes to using it. On the other hand, it’s adaptable and it does come with a whole lot of nice benefits and features for people to check out. If you want a good antivirus then this is a good option. You can go with the approach where you just combine it with another security solutions. But then again it’s still worth using AVG on its own if you have the right computer to do that!
